Im Rahmen von Culture X Change zeigt Tanya Traboulsi die Ausstellung „Something Borrowed“, wo sie die Situation von unverheirateten Frauen in Beirut thematisiert.
5 Interviews mit Frauen über 30, alle unverheiratet, ob freiwillig, aufgrund von Scheidung oder aus anderen Gründen, geben Einblick in dieses tabuisierte Thema.
Tanya Traboulsi ist Fotokünstlerin und lebt in Beirut. Sie reflektiert in ihren Fotografien unterschiedliche Entwicklungen und Geschwindigkeiten in Beirut und in Wien. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass Beirut offiziell in etwa gleich viele Einwohner*innen beherbergt wie Wien, ergeben sich aus künstlerischer Perspektive sowohl Parallelen wie verstörende Ausblicke.
Eine Veranstaltung in Kooperation mit Kulturen in Bewegung.
Die Ausstellung ist Mo – Do von 09.00 bis 16.00 Uhr bei freiem Eintritt zu besichtigen!

In the context of Culture X Change Tanya Traboulsi presents the exhibition “Something Borrowed“, where she addresses the situation of unmarried women in Beirut.
5 interviews with women over 30, unmarried, whether voluntarily or due to a divorce or other reasons, give an insight into this taboo subject.
Tanya Traboulsi is a photopraphy artist and lives in Beirut. In her photographs, she reflects different developments and speeds in Beirut and Vienna. In view of the fact, that Beirut officially has approximately the same number of inhabitants as Vienna, parallel as well as disturbing perspectives emerge.
