Mit unserer Gruppenausstellung\u00a0LOTUS<\/a>\u00a0bieten wir k\u00fcnstlerische interventionen zur Sensibilisierung und Thematisierung von Frauenrechten, Gleichstellung und Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema weibliche Genitalverst\u00fcmmelung. Mit einem interkulturellen Austausch von internationalen K\u00fcnstler*Innen m\u00f6chten wir eine M\u00f6glichkeit bieten kreativ Position zu beziehen und eine kritische Auseinandersetzung zu gesellschaftlichen Dogmen zu schaffen.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Ausstellung bieten wir ein breites Spektrum von angewandter und zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Kunst und Kultur und m\u00f6chten auf Missst\u00e4nde hinweisen.<\/p>\n

Der Erl\u00f6s aller verkauften Arbeiten geht zu 50% an eine von
\nden K\u00fcnstler*Innen selbst erw\u00e4hlte Institution zur Aufkl\u00e4rung
\nund Pr\u00e4vention weiblicher Genitalverst\u00fcmmelung.<\/p>\n

The objective of our exhibition Lotus is to present an artistic intervention aiming to sensitize the public to women\u2019s rights, gender equality and female genital mutilation and to turn these issues into subjects of discussion. By promoting an intercultural exchange between international as well as national artists, we would like to give an opportunity to express opinions through art and to critically analyze and discuss social dogmas. Therefore, we offer a variety of pieces of applied and contemporary art focusing on and pointing out abuses.<\/p>\n

50% of the money earned from the pieces that will be sold is going to be donated to an institution that aims to raise awareness of and prevent female genital mutilation. The institution has been chosen by the artists.<\/p>\n

The finissage on the 22.10.2018 includes a film premiere with\u00a0Jaha’s Promise<\/a>, a panel discussion combined with an exhbition.

Lotus<\/strong>\u00a0seeks to raise awareness for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Female Genital Cutting (FGC) by using street art and art in public spaces as media that reaches people worldwide.
\nIt`s an collaborative arts project to raise awareness of diffrent kinds of diseases, with the help of artists. We want to be a Plattform to support charities.<\/p>\n

ABOUT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project deals with the sensitive issue Female Genital Mutilation. We firmly believe that education is the solution for fighting against genital mutilation and this can contribute to a social Change.
\nOur plan is to raise awareness for this issue and fight against FGM with a global street art campaign.<\/p>\n
